heh. labels. heh.

oh... is that the point of labels? i dont think i get it.... ohhhh..... now i do.

s'right

new blogs up in da google. Adam : Yeah, about that. Google totally bought the hell out of Blogger. ...They're taking over the world, did you know that? You do know that. The whole freaking world and they won't be satisfied until they own it. Anydangway, I propose that any labels we add to any posts NEVER join together with any other ones. Ever. Also, Google can suck it. Tools...

Wii!

So, I have one. It is going back to London with me. I have Twilight Princess and Wii Sports. Zelda is awesome... totally sweet. You'll all see. ..That's all I got for now...

NEW COMPUTERS!

Sam: Yeah, that's all correct. And really, it's not the liquid cooling, it's the nVidia 8800 GTX. I mean, yeah, liquid cooling is great and all. So's the mouse and keyboard, actually. Super precise mouse, and backlit keyboard. But it really shines with the graphics card. Adam : I will take it upon myself to totally rave about our awesome new specs. With the colours now matching the actual colours of the machine. You're WELCOME Sam. A D A M ' S N E W C O M P U T E R : T H E S P E C S . The swag I got is mostly Microtech swag. It's a cool compy store in London, Oxford & Atelade. Great prices. I highly recommend 'em. I would've bought my whole machine there! GREAT deals on some stuff, like that video card was a steal and it's a darn nice video card. Anywho. Onwards to my awesome machine. Returning Home On...

Fill in yours. Or I'll do it for you. WARN'ED! Also, for me and David it'll just be when we're done any December schoolin's. David: Allen: Sam: Leaving LdB on 15th, 2-3 day drive Dan: December 22nd Adam: December 14th (Done exams) Peter: December 17th Also, new year's is officially booked for us dudes to do something off the hook. Will discuss this ongoing-ly. (Sam) And it will involve some LANing between my comp and Adam's. Or else. I, Peter, suggested Playdium for lack of anything better.

NEW COMPUTER!

As always, you gotta check out MY BLOG if you want the scoop on me. Here is where I save random plans for us. Starting with ME! Obviously an exciting topic. I'm done my exams on the afternoon of the 14th of December. That means after that I'll be totally free to do whatever. Now I don't have EVERYBODY'S return date down but I'll remember/recall them and post them in a row when I get the chance. Right now, I'm totally about to write up a killer ad before I forget it. DESCRIBE HAVOC IN 25 WORDS OR LESS Anyone who has ever filled out an insurance report on an auto accident knows how hard it is to summarize a disaster in the small space allowed for it. However, some people are just plain idiots. Here's a list of real explinations submitted to an annonymous property/casualty company by some of those aforementioned plain idiots. I'll go ahead and italisise my personal favourites. Incidents with Pedestrians. The pedestrian ran for the pavement, but I got him. ...

PS3 OWNED it's purchaser.

So, some poor dude got shot over a freakin' PS3. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/17/AR2006111700325.html As well as some other random violence. Also, the Grey Cup is on Sunday here. MEANing, I can go see the new Bond movie, and there'll be like NO people there! What all you up to?

heh

well, this is either dead or dieing. and for some reason, Sam's Hamachi posts didn't show in the edit panel... which i though odd. and nobody noticed or commented on the changes ive made around here.. subtle yes, but not insignificant. 4. days. 4 DAYS!! woot. ps... now sam's post is just gone? huh. weird.

haha

so, i was partaking sort of in this debate between an athiest and a NT christian, a third guy came and said that if christians are right, we have nothing to lose, so dont bother arguing, if we're wrong, when we die there isnt anybody to say 'told you so' so there's no point in arguing. that preceded this quote... "That's my biggest qualm about being an atheist. In the end, I can't rub it in your faces." i thought that was funny. maybe you do too. really, im just posting in here. yu-up. Dan, don't forget. tell Allen. you can DO this thing and it will be really awesome. Dan - I remember something like that at the first (and my last) debate club in Oakridge. I think Drew called it the "Euclid's Gamble"...nope, it's called Pascal's wager, which is essentially what the third guy said. But then isn't it not very good to call it wager?

VEGAS '09

So this is way, way in advance. Sue me, it really does need to be planned out this far ahead for good prices. First of all, who's interested? I am, Adam is for sure. Peter, I remember you weren't too thrilled. Dave/Allen/Dan all seemed interested. Second, dates. To work it out with all of your collective schooling, it looks like sometimes on Christmas break would be easiest to pull off. Third, hotel preference. I was thinking: Monte Carlo, MGM, the Hilton (off the strip, but the monorail fixes that), or Tropicana if we're cash strapped. The first three are 75-80 a night currently, but admittedly this is 3 years in advance, so prices will change, exchange rate, etc. Tropicana is older, and not as nice, but is cheaper. Fourth, how long would we want to stay? Fifth, what would we be trying to see? Sixth, flight. Current example is about $500, sometimes direct, sometimes with stops, return fare for each person, not including flight taxes/fees/international customs stuff. What s...

its been what, 6 days?

and Dan was last to post. kudos! yea, ill be getting those pictures from that trip... soon. aaand the battery in my mp3 player just died. just now. and i have a chem lab soon. titrations. standardizing the titrant and determining the w/v % content of hypochlorite in commercial bleach yay. thats gonna be fun. since... only Adam? has facebook here, aside from myself, so ill put here what i put there... my linear algebra class is soo cool. i love it. it blows my mind every mwf. thats monday wednesday friday. every lecture is pretty stinkin cool. so, chem lab i 12 minutes. im ready. i hope. so thats that, school rocks my socks, and my... docks and my... rhinocerous and its children. thats right. my socks, my docks, my rhino and its children. if i had rocks, it would rock them too. today, i ate lunch by a bunch of Asaian people. i think they were Korean. fairly sure. maybe im just biased because of Dan but it sounded sort of like Korean. im also like 98.6% sure that i heard one of them say...

k country

dang. i gotta say, those mountains are gorgeous. that was one sweet backpacking trip up in K(ananaskis) country. we hit the Highwood pass and camped out by the Hill of Flowers, right close to the Lake of the Horns, just in case you are familiar with that territory... It was fun though. this morning was -14 degrees. a nice frost covered ground, ice-pebbled tents and all that. shivering campers too. it was grand. when i get the pics from the guys who had cameras, ill find a cool place to put them. one of the guys brought these poi. they are balls of kevlar on the end of wire. you spin them around your body and do cool stuff. then, you coat the kevlar in fuel and light them. we have some sweeet time lapse photos of balls of fire orbiting the guy. it was funny when he hit himself and set his stomach hair on fire. he's such a pyro. and now i have a chem lab due on wednesday that needs to get done. welcome back to the real world eh? when you are hiking up a massive hill (the puts Boler ...

+2 posting

now all we need is to hear from allen, dan and dave. i have hear very little from dave since oakridge. how the heck is he doing? does anybody know? anyway, i had 2 exams today, philosophy and linear algebra. both fairly easy, but didnt take too long. school is all fairly easy, though a bit stressful with the online assignments, as adam knows. but oh well. im still doing good. we'll see what happens when i get those midterms back. adam, that story is whacked. 10 days and she was walking? dang. sometimes you just hear what the human body can do, and you are dumbfounded. its crazy. i wish i could grow half a brain back, but im too old for that now. reminds me of that guy that grew himself a new lower jaw.... underneath his arm. (it didnt naturally occur, it was put there for vascularization while the stem cells differentiated and hardened, but stil..) tomorrow morning i leave for the weekend. a sweet backpacking excursion in the mountains. im excited and i hope it doesnt suck. later.

Pffht.

Fine. Not only did I post an actual entry in mine, I'll even post here. I'm good. LDB is pretty nice place. Wish my transfer would go through faster so I had an income.

Psych is interesting.

I just had a lecture which was pretty much normal along the lines of regular psych. Talking about brain and its properties, areas, hemispheres, lobes, et cetera. We got onto the subject of the two halves of the brain and what functions we think they control. In terms of physical movement, the right brain handling the left side of the body's functions and vice versa, right? Well we were then shown a clip of this five, six year old girl? Something like that. She'd had this epileptic condition where she'd recieve seizures ALL the time, and frequently the entire left half of her body would become immobile. It wasn't cureable by any more convenient means, like medication or therepy-type treatment. So what did they do? They did surgery and CUT THE RIGHT HALF OF HER BRAIN RIGHT THE FUCK OFF . Took the entire half out. She was left, literally, with half a brain. Thanks to research into the brain's ability to repair and compensate, we knew that this wouldn't be a catastr...

Happy Tuesday!

Honestly though. Check it. I'm sure you've all seen that before. The faculty of nursing at the university of Calgary is having a Mardi Gras celebration. Next saturday. Like honestly. Celebrating tuesday, on saturday. somebody should shoot them in their bilingualism and intellects, given that it would be difficult - small targets - lets choose sam because he has experience. Silly nurses.

!!

Happy Birthday to Sam! Congrats. !! Dan - I can't believe I forgot to say it, (since I got a notice a week before...) and I'm sorry, but Happy Belated Birthday Sam! From Dan

fun fun fun, till Jo's daddy takes the TBird away...

So, that was a sweet weekend. Went on a youth retreat with ivcf. Do any of you guys have ivcf on your campuses? Thats Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, fyi. Well the retreat was a lot of fun. On satursay there were 'day trips' with different things to do, so I went horseback riding for about 6-7 hours. It was fun, I am sore. Trotting is the least comfortable ride. We didn't get to a gallop, but I wastold it is more comfortable than a lope, and loping is sweet, more comfortable than a walk. I rode Chief, he was a rather large horse, and I almost lost the saddle once, but I managed to maintain ballance. That happened when we were loping and I had a bad grip on the reins, so he started going out to the left, and almost sideways, then my stirrups slipped and it was crazy. Crazy fun. Honestly you guys should try it if you never have. It isn't hard to learn, but I wouldn't recommend going for more than a few hours on your first time. The speaker guy was Al Anderson, hea...

Sam's out

Strangely, Sam is NOT telling us this. It's Adam! BUT. Sam's still out. Adam's gonna copy Sam's text and italisize it below... BOOM you actually get something before I go. Nothing valid, but. ANYWAY, leave tomorrow morning, 3 day drive, dunno when I'll get the Intarwebs back, but LDB has a library, so hopefully free internet there. Also, Holy. Jesus. Fuck. FEAR is a damn scary (but very good) game. But I better crash, gonna leave early tomorrow, and I need to pack my comp still. Don't burn the place (...city?) down while I'm gone, hmm? Well, at least not until I get me my connectivity to the world back.

40 : 3. Awake : asleep.

DUDE. Sunday evening I went to a concert, right? It was freaking sweet. First I stood in line for over an hour at the merch table to get a sweater, then, after donning it, went into the cocnert hall. Moneen was playing then, and they weren't so great. So we fooled around, and Cooper, who was standing off to the side, overheard some guys who were convinced we were all mentally retarded. Made me laugh. Then we went to get drinks and hang out till the good bands came on. So we were sitting there, and all of a sudden Mike is like 'I'll trade you 4 quarters for a loonie' so I'm like... 'ok...' and then they take off, go into the mens washroom and buy a condom. Like....? it was hilarious. Scented and neon coloured. o.O anyway, later we went back into the hall, Silverstein was playing, they've got a good sound, but basically we just wanted to be lose to the front for Underoath. so at like quarter to 11, Underoath finally comes on. I was 4-7 rows of people fro...

Hey! Hey hey hey!

I post here! For totally sure! Though you indicated that I am exempt from the critisizings of before. SO yay for you. Once again, people should totally go read my o-week's story . If they have not already, of course. A horse is a horse, of course of course. So goes my philosophy classes. My last weekend was enjoyable enough. Went to the fair with Steph on Friday... like all day too, from 2:00 ish onwards until late... and after work Saturday Sam and Dave and myself went for a night on the town, ish. A couple street races later and Sam took me out once and I took him out the second time, so I was pleased with myself. He'll be up and out on Wednesday. Today I just hung around and piano'ed, and celebrated my dad's birthday with him. He got lots of UWO swag from myself. Man, sweaters are expensive! I mentioned my classes. The other thing I've been doing that's not parties. Yes classes are enjoyable/fun. All my profs are very funky and interesting to listen to, alwa...

uhhhh.... seriously now

Come on, I am at the university a lot as well. I have 5 courses a week with lectures, tutorials, and labs. I have been going to parties and clubs and hanging out with people. I'm starting to have a social life as well, and it seriously takes 5 mintues tops to post here. unless you are writing Adam's past week's story. but a little 'first week is going good this and this happened.. ' etc. etc. can be nice. and short is ok. but oh well. so today i was bored, because, well, school is only during the week. so i made cookies. peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. and they are freaking awesome. and tomorrow i am going to a concert with some friends, which will be sweet. like crazy sweet. it is Underoath, Moneen, Silverstein and He Is Legend. I am excited. And those parties i mentioned? One was with CSUS, the computer science undergraduate society. that was cool. its funny because there was like a 15:1 ratio of guys to girls, at least. but free food and pop was good. last...

Yeah, we're inept like that.

This week, I blame my not posting on being on a recuiting tasking. Annnnd the others are in school. Annnnnnnnnnnnnd I have no valid reason why you can post and they don't. But.

Sam is a double-posting fiend

So I jacked this one! I have not posted because I've been busy writing about my orientation week, which kept me from writing here. I've actually been, hey, socializing. You know, that thing we call a life. I have one! :P Surprise! Check out my blog if you wanna read about my O-Week, the best O-Week in the continent, courtesy of Western. Ayup. - Adam (Not Sam)

Yea. Yea YEA!

Well, Sam responded to one of my posts back in August, but the rest of you may as well have deceased. I only post here because I get really bored. Like now. I don't really care if you post, I'm just posting for something to do, and a reason for me to post is to fume at you guys for your bloggish apathy. The ned.

another livening post

so, today was de firs dei uv klassis, phor mea, ðat is. it was pretty guid. physics looks like it will be mostly review, same with calculus, at least the first few weeks. in linear algebra, we already are doing matrices, which i know next to nothing about. (in other words, allen, email me sometime, we'll have a sort of discussion where you can give me some basics, so im not going on what some crazy old prof says, despite the fact he wrote my textbook...) what else... philosophy will be an exciting class. we will be taught how to form sound arguments, and pick apart a few falacies. the only lecture i have tomorrow is chem, no labs or tutorials this first week. w00t. well, im gone...

an fyi: dictionary style.

These are things you likely did not know before, or I just think they are hilarious, as well as simply updating ye ol blog. From the mind of a large group of Americans we get... nidifugous stick in nutty nettlesome ... read the examples ... flip ones lid or.. flip ones wig flong.... decoction mashing ... what is the mash? phone ... if you don't know what a phone is, this should clear things up for you rabbit hutch (but what is a hutch for rabbits?) ok thats all for now. i hope you were entertained and didnt flip you lid, or your wig.

Dan!

Can you read this ? hehe.... And Sam... more cube warfare stuff... almost makes me want to work in a cubicle for the rest of my life. http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/warfare/7485/ (come on, SOMEbody/thing has to keep this alive)

uhhh, walking in a winter wonderland?

so, I'll be jettin' back to London and Area for this upcoming winter season celebration time. I'll be in London probably for most of the time, but not all. So, we should have 3 to 4 large parties with all of Adam's and Dave's new post-secondary friends living in the city. Or something. Simply an fyi, and have a nice day. Sam - Me to, actually, and Dan/Allen can get here from Waterloo easy enough.

SNAKES ON A MOTHER FUCKING PLANE (The Comic)

Tool.

Peter, when you asked that area code question, you became a freakin' tool. 10 digit dialing now, loser. It happened before you moved. Tool. oh. Yeah. I'M BAAAAAAAAACK. (and I'm promoted to TROOPER!) Peter- it did not come into contact with me, nor did I with it. There is no evidence for such a thing other than what you guys have said. Regardless, you should know your own freaking area code. heck, you should even have Adam's number memorised. ps. with area codes you dial 1 first - 11 digits. same like "1-800" numbers.

In about 12 hours...

I really shouldn't still be awake. See you guys later today.

OK CHANGE OF PLANS.

The plans... have been changed. Screw Saturday night. It's just too complicated. I can't stay long to explain why *in detail* but Sam has to stay for a trial on Saturday and we have no idea whether he'll be around on Saturday. But he most probably will for Sunday, excluding any incredibly bad runs of luck, which include car accidents and horrifying injuries. So I am going to buy my, Allen's, and Sam's tickets for Snakes on a Plane for Sunday afternoon. The more of you can come, the better. It is a much more likely, accessible day and time than Saturday night, which I wouldn't have had a car for; I will all Sunday, though, and I can stay out until whenever that night. Thus. Contact me right away if you have something to add to this. Phoning is preferable at this point. If I'm not at home (519 473 8416) then I'm on my cell (519 615 6321) so you can always reach me. I will post more details when I recieve them. Allen, if you can't make the Sunday, I apo...

SNAKES. ON A PLANE.

Happy official SoaP release day, y'all. ...Hm we should herefore refer to August 18th as Snakes on a Plane day. This awesome idea has been put into effect by the also awesome Adam. I give myself one thousand awesome points because I'm awesome so I can do that. MAN I'm awesome. You wish you were me. Oooh, news! As in more than one new. Speaking of new plural. Tomorrow night is hopefully the night where we'll all go see Snakes on a Plane. Now, that said... uh, I know I don't have tickets yet. And judging by our whole gang's awesome powers of planning ahead, none of you do either. Thus, tomorrow night I'll drive out to the Silver City and grab me one, or more than one, probably two; as Sam requested one for Saturday night and he'll pay me back for that one later. Now, as for you guys, if you're available that night I'll drive ya down with me so we can all take care of that buisness. As I do have a family-type gathering I'll have to see about get...

new(s)

first of all, I think Adam could appreciate this anyway. I am still working, it isn't as bad now that my body is a bit more adapted to this hard physical work. I got a new cd yesterday! I ordered it two weeks ago on the release date, cuz no store hear stocked it! Oh well, I have it and enjoy it now. It is Showbread 's Age Of Reptiles. Here is a sample of their stuff. It doesn't have screaming like their other album, at least very little that I have noticed. That is their purevolume site... the first 4 songs are new, the other three are older. obv. give 'er a listen should you feel inclined. I like "Your Owls Are Hooting" not only because it has a sweet title. Well, I'm tired. off for some Diablo now, and some ice cream. goodnight.

Petawawa

Canada's Wonderland

SAM!

If you are online ever, and get a chance to read this, tell us whats been going on eh? Adam - Judging by his computer activity since arriving there, which is none, through weekdays and weekends alike, he can't have any internet access. Thus you won't hear from him until like the 19th, or maybe a bit later. Adam - Well I'll be jiggered! He got hold of an internet connection today (Saturday the 12th) in some library! If he doesn't see this place and throw in some details then I'll write about some stuff we discussed in terms of what went on there and what he'll be doing.

roflcopter!

here ... and here

better comP!

in about 15 mintues i will have starcraft on here.... and it wont lag. w00t for that. eh?

Woooo Tuesdaaaay

It's one of those days I SERIOUSLY look forward to. You know? You know? Aaaah you get it. Or maybe not actually. So on Tuesday we're goin' to Canada's Wonderland, just the me and the Allen and the Jo. ...We may be joined there by Meg and a friend or two of hers but maybe not, either way it's WONDERLAND man. WOW. Can't WAIT. It'll be Allen's mum that drives us up and back, not sure when we're leaving but we'll actually be able to stay closer to the close of the park and not have to worry about missing an earlyish bus that costs a fortune and being dropped off at a Greyhound station downtown at one-thirty AM. Now, storytime ish. My first time at Wonderland was almost a year ago. It was me, Peter, Allen, Dan, Meg, and Robyn. I was wearing some really nice clothes, I'm still not entirely sure why. Anyways, that day was SO fun it's insane. We went on a bunch of awesome rides... at one point it started raining like crazy but we made it into cov...

I'm back

yeah wow I've been out of the loop at camp sunday to friday and gaming my but off in the time between. well I've started reading these things on the weekends when I'm home. and ps adam none of us go to e3 why is that so important that it's cancelled now if videogames were illegalized I would be crying right now while organizing an underground game smuggling ring. but back to seriousness my life is uneventful i really miss oakridge and am kinda worried about going to fanshawe in fall with basically no one I know going there. I have met some guys who work at the camp with me who will be going there who i may hang arond with but i will definetly be moving away from my nerdness at fanshawe ie. going to drinking parties and not just gaming and drinkng coke all night. I've sort of developed almost a phobia of eating unhealthy food and I've started exercising which consisits of like and hour and a half of running a day and 100-150 situps a day and I am losing like 7 po...

Gamers?

Prepare to cry. ...Or maybe not quite cry but this still BLOWS.

...

sorry allen about before, my internet connection just died and i had no way of getting it back. i dont know why it is working now.... and how many times must i say this? YouTube. Very. Bad. I don't mind seeing a link to a video, but when the page wont even load and is probably a good contributor to my internet sucking.... bad. fatty bad even. Adam - Uh, when WAS the last time you said that?... Might've been in MSN somewhere but I probably overlooked it. I'm sure you have said it at some point but I don't and haven't remembered that at all so you can't have said it enough... or rather, made a big enough deal about it. Also, what's up with the dots as a subject line thing? So boring. Peter - well then consider it made a big deal now. ellipsis? it makes sense as a title, to me.

Watch out for those tempo changes, man.

'Cause when we go under the second bridge this shit TAKES OFF .

Dude!

I have sound now... somehow it magically is working again. wii... Ok, so Adam, here is me 'blogging it up' I am online RIGHT NOW. Not bnet though, i have msn running, that seems to consume most of this computer's ability to.... well do anything really. it took upwards of a few minutes to even open the program.... now that I have sound I want to go check out that first song listed at www.purevolume.com/showbread but dont you go there, because you dont like that music. their new album in stores august 1st!!!! I am excited. I also need to find some time off work to go to the university before then... transcript stuff... man it has been a while since ive played gamecube. my skills are probably lacking right now.... hopef on saturday or sunday i will be able to Smash a bit. So i am home alone i think for most of the night, made myself some KD, good stuff along with Pepsi. and ice cream. well.... hmmm, I am bored right now. chattin with Sam, none of you guys are on right now.......

....

why did I NOT think of this sooner? Maybe cuz this isn't my computer?? I have battlenet up and runnin. I can still connect to us east server, ill probably be on most days around 9 o'clock your time. maybe sooner, maybe later. Ill probably just check bnet to see if you guys are on and if not ill leave right away. or we could schedule some times for us to all be there and stomp a few comps. ps I haven't heard from Allen for a long time, is he still around? When is he and Dan moving up to Waterloo? also, how can i get my speakers to work? they are on and turned up but nothing comes out, not for any program. this is Windows ME. Sucky sucky OS, IMO. I also used web messenger today when i was at the UofC, but only Adam and Killby were online. Adam didn't respond, then he signed off, and I didn't talk to Alex. oh well. o.0 dang these old dutch people (my landlords) really like to talk to themselves and agree with themselves. Fred reminds me of Kyle Fitzpatrick, the way he ...

The Claymatrix

Sam - Also Yes. BUT: You forgot the subtitle! WHEN FREEWAY DRIVING GOES WRONG! Peter - dang I never knew that turned out so well. Sweet stuff.

Don't you know who I am?!

Sam - Simply... Yes.

Whoa, just whoa.

Image
These are chalk drawings on flat concrete. Sam - Gotta admit, that is pretty funky.

FYI

Just so you know Peter, everyone else is camping and won't be back until Thursday, and probably won't be cognitive until Friday. Peter - dang, well oh well. I wish I could go camping [/full time job] I wont be very cognitive until september... 20th or so. I only worked 10 hours today :)

Must be Santa

Santa Clause. I want YOU to know that I am tired. I worked 12 hours today in airtight containments. Dang am I tired. Sleep time for Tim. Thats me. Dan, remember this. If you ever want to move somewhere. Outside is great. Nothing is safer than the troposphere. Calgary is a beautiful city.

ADAM'S POST

WOO, it's SO my post! I broke Peter's posting streak haha haha haha. So this isn't something I found, Sam showed it to me, then I was like laughing my head off at it. Good ol' Weebl. Woot for camping this Monday! Here's hoping it's a lot of fun, and I know it will be. So. Any thoughts on this matter? Edit: This is what that remided me of. Be careful with that one; it's VERY addictive. The little guy has like this huge arsenal of weapons to take you out with, and he's super fast. All you can do is rack up the points. I only had the patience to reach 2516, how's about yous? Edit again: Hey, Allen! SNAKES ON A PLANE Peter - I sucked at that cursor game. Web messenger sucks, it doesn't work on this computer.

hehehe

I started all of the last 6 posts. Sam - One, I wasn't calling you a fool, I was calling DAN a fool. Two, I'm taking the Army's trade specific course for Armoured Recce soldiers. Dan - Alright, I guess that was a LIE on my part. I guess I wasn't thinking too well since I wrote that David had a job before writing that... Oh well.

none

You guys suck. Nobody has posted for 2 days. I'll update again now and keep checking... maybe for a few more days... I got certified today. Passed the exam, now I am a government certified asbestos abatement worker. Sounds impressive eh? I got a job placement for monday, at one of the hostipals in Calgary. That will be exciting, get me some hands on experience building containments, decontaminating asbestos containing areas, all suited up in the impermeable polypropylene coveralls and NIOSH regulated P100 half-mask respirators. And tons of other crazy terminology. I will be in a Low Risk environment removing chrysotile vinyl asbestos floor tiles. Dang I learned tons in the last two days. Craziness. Not everybody can tell youall about the different types of asbestos, why it is dangerous where it is dangerous to, whaty it can cause, and how to remove it safely. But I can. Anyway, enough about my job, jeorb? job. I laid the smack down on my wallet; I have small change less than 2 doll...

Work reloaded

Ok I figure Adam will get a kick out of that 'reloaded' thing ... ANYWay after my interview this mornin... I am so in. $14/hour and I am certified in 2 days. I figured out a bit more; I demolish insides of buildings in order to safely remove carcinogenic asbestos. Thats right. I work with killer cancer-causing stuff. I need to buy myself some good steel toed boots and maybe some pants cuz my parents haven't shipped my stuff out yet... but I am now employed. yay! I may just have myself a party in my honour. ps Dang those boots are expensive, but I had no choice. I start training tomorrow for an 8.5 hour day. Get up at 6:00 for the bus. ugh. oh well, when i do start working I rake in the $$ mehopes. My fluency with Calgary Transit increases daily... soon I won't need to take my map everywhere with me... but them skeedurs (mosquitos?) are everywhere, I probably have more bites than Sam showed off in chem so often. I find that if you don't scratch them at all the poiso...

Work!

Adam can have 49 points hehe..... Anyway, I got a call today; tomorrow I go for an interview for a specialised demolition service where get 2 days of training and get certified... $14/hr minimum they said - if I get through the interview.... I didn't bring a suit with me or anything, so I will have to look as nice as possible with what I have. If this falls through Ithink I could get work at the local Christian Bookstore who are hiring full time. That would be pretty sweet. But nothing is yet set in stone. So I'll tell you later whats worked out... Sam - Heeeeey, good to hear that you made it ok, sorry I didn't write earlier, was in Toronto until Sunday. Good luck with the work, demolition is always fun. Peter - yea demolition with ASBESTOS.

Bus passes

Yes Adam, I know that Western includes those in tuition, but my guess is that your tuition is much higher than mine. This year I pay $5100 for a full course load. Anyway, fronting $70 a month is a lot cheaper than car insurance would be. On monday I go all out on the telephone and handin out resumes.... ($14/hour for demolition... !!!!!) There are lots of jobs in Calgary that will pay well. The only question is do I have what I will need (steel toed boots etc) Once I find myself a job though, it will be awesome cuz then I will know when I don't work and I can pop on over to Ken's place; he said it could become another home for me should I need a break from my current house.... and I will inevitably visit my old friends; hopeF just ring their doorbell and have them gawk at my presence if the recognise me... in any event I am pumped. Oh and Ken has msn, so I may be on occasionally though it will likely be later; 11:00 or so for you guys considering the time lapse. It is 10:40 her...

In Calgary

Hello guys, I have made it to Calgary . !!!! . This connection is slow. Slow like Dan Jo in the winter. But I am here, and tomorrow I go to the university, and get bus passes, and job hunt. And for the love of winemaking, treat everything you do this summer like a 10 car highway wreck. Peter out. ps I have no instant messengers right now.... pps this is for Dan; remember this next time are on a bridge. Adam - WOO what up, Peter! Good to hear stuff's goin' like it should. What compy were you using? Anyway, today I totally got my G2, so yay for me. Someday I'll drive all the way out there to visit. Peter - it's good to see somebody checks this regularly.... I am using the comp at my house. Apparently the connection is decent but the hardware is... unsatisfactory. with 63MB RAM, and an intel celeron processor that it doesnt tell me its speed... but I was using the university computers today and they are nice, although the keyboards are awkward... and dang, buses are expen...

Bye, man.

Peter, all the best, bud. Safe trip, don't talk to strangers, make sure you pack enough sandwiches. Food = ...tasty. All that stuff. Blog it up when you get there and get online'ed, won't you? We'll be wondering how you's doing. Also, the Laser Day thing, we're pretty much calling off, because now that Allen's out, that's too few to do it. Perhaps we'll think about doing it a week later... uh, no guarentees on that yet, as we'll need to set things up. Obviously no easy task, when we're trying to find one day on which all these people are free on. Even in the summer apparently. Let's TRY for July 5th... that's next Wednesday. Keep it free, if you can. Sam - Peter, what can I say? You're amazingly intelligent, so no matter what anyone in Calgary says, you'll own university. Thanks for all the chem help, your witty insights and sense of humour, and all the other good times. Give us all an email, or something, once you do have int...

LASERDAAAAAAAAY

Ok, it's not quite paintball. It's like laser quest on steriods, run by a paint ball company, at an outdoor paint ball field, which I played at once (paint ball, not the lasers) and it was a very nice playing field. The last plan we had was: June 28th (day after exam conflict day) 2 pm or a bit after until 4 pm or a bit after (2 hours of play) Cost is twenty bucks We'd likely do dinner or something afterwards We need at least 8 people, currently we have 7. If Serge wants to come, that's great, and we're trying to get some from Adam's youth group to come as well. Adam, if you got any points, feel free to chip in. And yeah, we know Peter. Kinda sucks, but that's the best day we can manage. O k, really sucks. Peter - i hope you aren't counting me cuz i leave on the 27th David- oh crap man thats training week so I'm alomst definelty sure I can't leave and go to this ........ __, .......(_________/ .......(__, .........\ wow that took me a long time t...

Is this paintball goin down

hey sam and adam i remember you huys were trying to organize a paintball game and I was wondering what happened with that P.S. Serge said he wanted to go if he could. it would be nice to shoot Serge.

Last day of school

ok, here's the plan. We meet at Allen's house and walk to school all together in a single file line in uniform. the uniform is a massive choir robe; like you might see in a monastery or something.. but it is pale green. very awesome. i have 6 robes; myself, martin, allen, dan, dave and adam. sam wouldn't be coming until second period, but if he wants a robe anyway; sam tell me during school tomorrow and ill try to get another one. are we up for it? it would be the epitome of our group's experiences. and wear them all day. Adam - Keep them on all day? That would be terribly uncomfortable, considering how hot and muggy the weather's been. Peter - I knew, if anybody, it would be you to bum out, but all day is the whole point. im gonna do it, martin will do it. i should hope everybody else will do it; i know allen isnt afraid of some heat. but adam has some semblance of social status he may want to watch out for? i know i dont care. its like the yellow pants, but for ev...
