Hey, an update from out west!

Word up. I am still alive!? I didn't really expect to see this blog still alive, so this is pretty crunk. I guess the cool thing to do these days is talk about my life, since most of you haven't talked with me for a long while. The education scoop is that I am finishing my degree this year. Which is exciting. Next year I will likely be living in Lethbridge, back at school, doing an after-degree in Education. Lethbridge is close enough to Calgary, about a two and a half hour drive away. I am pretty pumped to move out there, as I plan on getting my own place and hopefully not having any roommates. This is exciting for various reasons. My job at the lab is still there, but I rarely work more than a couple shifts in a month, so I have been trying to find a tutoring job, but so far the places I applied haven't contacted me back. Which is kind of lame. In a few years I should be teaching though, and that is awesome. Yea, and that is that. Somebody should tell Allen, Dave and Sam ...

Another story from Adam!

I'll try not to go on too long about it, even though there's a lot I'm worried about. But most reecntly I've been accepted to Centennial College in toronto for a video game development program. This is a bit scary for me because I'm moving to Toronto and that's not really what I expected to be doing at all this year. That and I'm nervous about moving as I've spent the last 22 years of my entire life cooped up living with my family, and I've never gotten that taste of independance. I know it's long overdue and I'm definitely glad it's finally happening, it really needed to. It's still nerve-racking though. I'm still not sure if I'll be living in residence on campus, or whether I'll find my own place nearby. We'll see how it works out. But still, Toronto. It's a lot bigger than London. And more exciting. It'll be a grand adventure.

Yay dan, you're here!

Dan! I can calm your worries at least for now. I'm planning on doing a bit more schooling but it's a bit too expensive out in vancouver. I've applied to colleges in toronto and london and stuff... the furthest away I'd reasonably end up is in kingston. But, I probably won't! I'm hoping to get into fanshawe, but I might also reasonably end up in toronto. In any case I'll definitely still be near home and I'll travel home frequently for visits, probably most weekends. For now I have several contracts and my job with the facebook guys that I'm still working on. All of which I've been working on from home - at first it was driving me insane, but now I'm getting into it a bit more. There's definitely a lot of nice and awful things about working at home, double edged sword... but I could probably get used to it. I've got a busy month coming up. A big contract through a design firm for 3M will eat up my work hours. I'm going to see Goril...

Read A Book

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlKL_EpnSp8 I've been reading a lot of books recently.  Conclusion: I love books!

Ahhhhhh outdoor with a laptop

Whoa I broke my between-post time limit T.T Good job for keeping it up Adam! I have 45 mins to waste before class starts, so...  Ahh ants on my keyboard!  Ok, being on a picnic table with a laptop is scary when that happens. Also, I replaced my cell phone with an older cell phone thus being able to text better! And I got a job/business! (which you all heard of by now)  I am also wondering how awkward I would look right now. I cut my hair three weeks ago too. On a completely different topic, the new roommates are pretty nice, and they're all pretty social too, except Johnny the Chinese math student. And a bit sad about hearing how Adam was thinking of moving to the West. D: Is he still thinking about it? Although being closer to Peter is nice, you'll be away from the rest of us as well~ But I guess I shouldn't be making a conversation here. What I should be doing is talk about other subjects. Like my job, since all you heard a little bit about it. I think I'll put a stor...

Back at It

Well, I'm about to leave this office for good and try my hand in the real world for a little while. Got a couple jobs lined up which should keep me plenty busy as I keep slugging away, hopefully I'll properly establish my adulthood by getting my own place soon. It's all pretty boring. I mean, I had a great time in high school with all y'alls when you were here. When peter came back to visit it was a really fun throwback to the dumb fun we used to have back then. Felt exactly the same now despite us being somewhat different. I really liked that. Then I had a great time in university. I met lots of pretty great people, had a really good time, in similar and different nerdy ways than I did when I was in high school with you guys. But it was still dope, and by dope I mean rad, and by rad I mean great. Now all of those people I used to know have gone to work at various agencies and companies and they all say generally the same thing; it's boring. They don't connect w...
