Woooo Tuesdaaaay
It's one of those days I SERIOUSLY look forward to. You know? You know? Aaaah you get it.
Or maybe not actually. So on Tuesday we're goin' to Canada's Wonderland, just the me and the Allen and the Jo. ...We may be joined there by Meg and a friend or two of hers but maybe not, either way it's WONDERLAND man. WOW. Can't WAIT. It'll be Allen's mum that drives us up and back, not sure when we're leaving but we'll actually be able to stay closer to the close of the park and not have to worry about missing an earlyish bus that costs a fortune and being dropped off at a Greyhound station downtown at one-thirty AM.
Now, storytime ish. My first time at Wonderland was almost a year ago. It was me, Peter, Allen, Dan, Meg, and Robyn. I was wearing some really nice clothes, I'm still not entirely sure why. Anyways, that day was SO fun it's insane. We went on a bunch of awesome rides... at one point it started raining like crazy but we made it into cover and waited out the rain, ish. Then went on the mighty canadian minebuster and italian job and they were STILL AWESOME. By the end of the day I'd actually managed not to get my nice clothes all wet. Second-last ride of the day, river rapids. I went RIGHT UNDER THE WATERFALL and got SOAKED. DANGIT!!! I looked like a drowned rat. Last ride of the day was Vortex for a second time and man was it ever worth the wait for the good seats, the nighttime view from the top of the mountain is REALLY cool. So then most of the dudes went on home, I had a nice special moment with Meg then SHE went home, and I, well, didn't. We went five minutes down the road to this *really* nice hotel. Really big and fancy, we had a nice room overlooking the road to the park, we could see its lights faintlyish in the distance, and I picked out the mountain against the dark skyline. So I was still drenched so I showered up and got into one of those awesome hotel-robes that are always SO comfy and warm. I remember sitting on that comfy hotel-bed looking out that window, sipping a cool glass of coke 'on the rocks' as they say in that warm robe looking at the lights of the park, remembering one of the best days EVER... looking forward to an awesome week at my NMC camp which began the next day. So camp went by, I could write about WAY too many memories at that place but I won't. I got back a week after the day after Wonderland. I ate a massive lunch and spent the rest of the day at my family's cottage at this wicked resort, it was staggeringly awesome and peaceful. Speed of Sound was playing from the resort at a perfect volume and I was sitting on our balcony gazing at the sky which is REALLY filled with stars out there. I counted the shooting stars that went by, plenty did... if those things actually grant wishes then they must work as by now all of the ones I came up with worked. ...Some of them only recently. So there's a year-time delay on star wish-making? Sometimes? That's hardly logical. Then again, Dan Jo is on your porch. Sometimes.
Speaking of which (woo long story), Dan, you left your planner here! I've been lazily adding more quotes as they come to me. I'll have to bring it with me on Tuesday. That thing is just packed with so much awesomeness it's insane. It'd be a nice diversion in the long-type park rides. Shouldn't be TOO busy there being the day after a long weekend when most people going there would go down.
Anywho, I'm exCITED. As you could see from up there I have terribly happy memories of that place and livin' them again is a very exciting prospect. Even better, those passes support a return trip, so I may go back with my sister at the end of August before we go to our cottage for a week. On that note, Dan and/or Allen, if you won't be using that second visit on your pass, if you could let my sister have it after you're done with it on Tuesday it'd be SO super nice of you, you'd save her almost sixty bucks for admission and rides. But ONLY if you're not gonna use it for another trip this year.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm out.

I remember that Wonderland story. Hard to believe that was only a year ago...
