So, listening to music made me go WHOA. Adam knows, I stuttered and spewed out a bunch of whoa's like crazy. Two songs mainly, the ones that put me into a stupor as I listened to them. Both by Underoath, which is one of my favourite bands right now.. the first song was "Young And Aspiring" the other is "Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape" neither of these are on purevolume.. I don't know where else to find free music... but the lyrics for th second one are here
So if you manage to find a copy of it and the desire to listen to it, read them lyrics as it goes. 'Young and Aspiring' is much more typical Underoath, almost the entire song is screamo, but not unintelligible. Don't be so scared of screamo Adam, it is a style of singing because it is melodic. I should hope you are all apt enough to navigate sing365 and find them lyrics. Finding the actual song, again I don't have a link for it. Ok, I figure you are all too lazy.
Adam! you seem adept at finding music! Try and find these songs! I actually think you would like 'Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape' it is quite the emo song. The only screamo is negligible overlay on the outtro, all in all much more 'alternative' in genre than 'screamo/hardcore'

Well I listened to that one up there, the one that's linked to. It works finally.
ReplyDeleteIt was SO close to impressing me. The first 2/3rds were gorgeous. The last wasn't... well it was still nice. I still think there's SO SO many ways you can release emotional energy in music apart from just screaming like that. If I'm ever going to really warm up to that kind of music, it'll take a while. Emo stuff has definitely never been my cup of tea though.

ReplyDeleteSo close to impressing you? There is a single line of screaming aside from the hardly noticeable overlay on the end. But oh well, you did listen to it which is good. I guess you never got around to gettin that other song... I'll look again today, but I HIGHLY doubt that ANYBODY will listen to it... I like it.
